Makeovers

Here's a story and I know we all have them. Last week Paige(6) had a play date and I still get a kick out of that "play date" everything has to be arranged. Anyway her cute friend Frankie came over because the family I work for got a new puppy. Now they have 2 puppies. Sigh.
So after a few short minutes with the puppy the girls go up stairs. Now they are at an age where I don't have to watch them like a hawlk and they like their indipendence. So I go up to check on them and they're in the bathroom and it's locked. I knock on the door and say "you can't lock me out what are you doing in there?" and they show me they are doing makeovers they got out all the make-up and sparkly lotions like a salon I thought it was cute so I left them alone for a little bit. Then I heard screaming and went again to check on them and they were playing with the puppy and screaming all in fun. I look at Paige and notice her hair has been CUT!!! I gasp and say "What did you do?" They told me that Frankie cut Paige's hair. I was shocked. It was one of those moments where I was upset but couldn't help but smile at the same time.
Her parents wern't mad and she just got a cut yesterday to fix the mishap. Now she looks like a cute pixie and so I wanted to show you her new do.



Dahra doesn't always let me but I love doing her hair and I think secretly she loves it too becuase I do fun stuff. Here's her modeling my latest.
These girls definetly keep me on my toes but they are awesome and have hearts of gold.

Go Padres

This last Wednesday my boss gave me tickets to the Padres. He's got season tickets for these awesome seats. right off the field only 6 rows back. I was going to take my roommate but she was busy so I sent a text to all my friends and said the first person who gets back to me wins.
My friend Leah was first and I must say very fast. The game was awesome. Padres lost way bad. But there were a lot of foul balls, and one guy even broke his bat.

Leah and I were trying to get on the big screen by getting up and waving our arms and dancing but we didn't get on it. We had a blast!!

San Clamente

Look at these toes. It's Brigham and his first time in the sand. He wasn't sure about it and it was amazing to watch him discover it. Becky, Dave, Simeon, Brigham, Daisy and Chopu came to San Clamente and so I went up to hang out with them for the day. It was relaxing. The beach was beautiful and Becky and I saw dolphins jumping around in the water.
I love Simeon's smile it just warms my heart.


It was a fun weekend. Becky and I always have something to talk about and the kids just add to the joy. Love you all ;)

Flowers cheer me up

After my rough day 2 weeks ago I came home from mom's house where I watched conference. I had to get back because I had to clean out my car and sweep up all the glass around my car. I was still mad and emotional and so when I was finished I went up to my apt and opened my door and much to my surprise my roommate Danielle had gotten me these flowers right next to my bed. They were so beautiful, the next morning was great because the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes were these flowers, what a way to start the day eh? I'm so lucky to have such a great friend.



Monday (after the break-in) mom took me around and we went to a nursery. As you know mom and nursery's go well together and we spent a good amount of time there but no money. I was proud of mom for that. The flowers there were so beautiful and cali-lilly's are my favorite flower.
There was a coi pond at the nursery and I saw this little turtle and he was just hanging out soaking up the sun on the beautiful day. At first I didn't think he was real but he stuck his head out a bit more and I had to take a pic I love turtles.

Julienne

About 45 min away in the little mountains there's a cute town called Julienne. It's got fun unique shops with antiques and it's famous for it's pie. Danielle and I drove up there Easter weekend (I know that was a long time ago) and got lunch and looked around for a while. There were tons of bikers because it was such a beautiful day. They were all hanging out driving Harley's around the streets.


We ate lunch there and for dessert we had pie and it was so good, we each got a turnover for later. I ate mine for breakfast the next day. Nothing's better than pie in the morning. :)

It was a great day. And since it was Easter weekend I got a pie for mom's dinner. It was boisenberry/apple

Stream of Bad Luck

Ok so I was very very very upset about not going to Hawaii. I was on the phone most of the day with people with thick accents trying to get my refund. It's in dispute right now and I hope I'll get it back. I talked to my boss and since the kids have their spring break I thought that I'd have to work. But no I still get the whole week off and Becky and the Fullmer fam. will be in
San Clamente which is about 45 min north of me so I thought I'd spend some quality time with them. I got Simmers a water gun and not thinking I got one for Briggs too. I guess it will be a battle between me and Simeon. Should be fun and I hope to get wet.

Another sad sad story to add...This morning I got up early for conference. Since I don't have the luxury to watch at home I was headed to Mom and Ron's to watch it there. I go down to my car and see that somone has broken into it AGAIN!!! There was glass everywhere and they stole my CD's and tried to steal my stereo but they couldn't get it out so they took out my entire dash. There is a huge hole where everything used to be like the stereo, A/C stuff.
I talked to my insurance co. and with my deductable I'm not sure if it'll be worth it to fix it or if I should just get a new one. As I was cleaning up the glass a guy approached me and told me that his car was stolen last night. Looks like I might move from this apt. when our lease is up in June.

With all the other stuff that's going on in my life and this on top of it. I was upset most of the day. I know things will work out and there is an answer to this problem.
