The Proposal

Last night Tony proposed to me!!!
I was not expecting it at all. We had gone to pick out rings for me and decided on a ring with a Sapphire and two diamonds on each side. So we are getting it made and it's taking a while. I am one that needs to practice patience and can't seem to wait.
We were talking last night and Tony said that it's going to be a while longer for the ring because of this...and that...and I suggested we get a decoy ring just so I can have something on my finger. He said no :(
We were on our way to our Book of Mormon study group when we had this conversation. When we got in we settled in had a song and prayer and then Tony pipes in and says "I have an announcement" and he stands up. I'm thinking what is he doing???? Then I see a ring box in his hand and I almost had a heart attack. He goes down on one knee and asks if I would marry him and I said YES!! I was so excited that I just took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger. I didn't even wait for him to put it on me. OOPS. I guess Tony didn't realize how long I've been waiting for this day. I was so embarrassed by it all and everyone applauded and took pictures with their camera phones :)
It may have not been the most romantic moment but it was memorable. I will never forget it. I love Tony so much. He is amazing and he even has made the commitment to be baptized.

Dresses

So as any bride will testify finding the dress is a fun and interesting task. Not only do you have to find a dress to wear on a very important day but you have to choose a dress for bridesmaids and flower girls.
I am fortunate that I already have my dress. I'm wearing my mom's wedding dress, from when she married my step-dad Ron. It's beautiful, flowy and makes me feel very pretty. Plus she's also done the alterations herself. She is simply amazing.
Finding the bridesmaids dresses has also been a dream I mean nightmare but I did find it.

I couldn't copy the dress for some reason but check it out. The color is Truffle and it's gonna look so beautiful on my girls.


This is my flower girls dress. Maddie and Lauren are going to be my flower girls. I am so excited.
My theme is fall since our date is October. And my colors are brown and orange.

Plans

So my computer is still down and I don't have pictures yet but I thought it might be fun to blog about my wedding plans.
Tony and I are getting married on October 16th of this year. I don't have the ring yet and so the proposal wasn't formal. We were just talking and he said that he found the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. I was in shock!! At that point we hadn't been dating long but I also knew that I loved him very much. He then asked if I would marry him and I without thinking said "Yes".
After that we made the nessicary arrangements for our paretns to meet and we also made a special trip to Utah so he could meet my father and ask his permission. It was so great to see the family and spend time with most of them.
I am so greatful for Tony and what a wonderful man that he is. He loves me dispite my crazy moments and is completely patient with me. I love him for his sence of humor and ability to make me laugh.
My mom and I have been taking the task to plan the wedding ourselves and since mom is a very organized person we are doing good!!
