Rumble Rumble Rumble

So today (not sure what time) there was a 5.8 earthquake. It was up north of here. Close to LA and it was felt down here in SD and in some cases all the way in Vegas. I didn't really feel it. I think I felt dizzy and unstable but I thought it was my smoking pot! Just kidding. :)
I am kind of a clumsey girl so I thought it was just me and then I heard it announced on the radio and was happy that I'm not losing my mind.

Pine Wood Durby

Last night our ward had a pine wood durby activity. It brought me back to the day of the daddy daughter dates. Dad and I made an awesome black car and I don't remember the number we chose but dad let me sand it and paint it. He also put some stuff on the wheels to make it go faster and I believe if my memory is correct we won. I think dad mostly wanted to beat the Mildenstines. :)

Ok so today after I worked at the templ I tried to take a nap but couldn't sleep so I decided to go running. I usually go in the evening after work at this awesome trail right by my apt. I don't know the distance but it's a great workout and gets me outside in the fresh air.
So instead of running tonight I went at about 3:00 and as Adri taught me I picked up a nice size rock for protection and started on my way. I got around the first corner when something caught my eye. A snake. I froze in awwh at it and notice it's rather large head and the tail
it was . . . a rattle snake. I've never seen one close up. It uncoiled its self and hissed at me a bit but I stood still. I couldn't believe it. I guess that's why I go in the evening when it's cooler. I was creeped out for the rest of my jog and was worried another one would pop out but no, I only saw bunnies, squirrles, sparrows and lots of bugs.
So there's my crazy moment for the day.

Mission Comp

It's a small world after all. I got to have lunch with one of my old missionary companions. "Sister Henrie" she was my third companion and we had a blast together. She's awesome she's got an adoreable girl, London who was a lot of fun.
Kiersten has lived in Hemet for a while and we never got together. So now she's moved closer so it's great to hang out again.

Love the Weekend

Saturday was awesome. I had a great day. I went to a regional activity with the ward at mission beach. It was a perfect, beautiful day. I did get a little sun on my neck and shoulders and my tan is getting better and better. It was great hanging out with friends and making new ones.

Then Saturday night my friend Michelle and I got all dressed up and went to a play. It was actualy 3 one-act plays. An awesome girl I know wrote one play and directed another. It was great. I love live theatre.
Then we were hungry and couldn't find a place open besides Denny's so we went to In-N-Out.
Yummm.




This whole week I will be house sitting for the family I work for. They are going on vacation and I get to watch the house and the dogs. You better believe I'm having friends over for a Wii night and swimming in the pool. Fun filled week for me :)

New Car

I got it!!! It's black it's beautiful and it's mine!! It's a Nissan Maxima 2000 with auto everything
It's got a moon roof which is broken but I negociated to get it fixed free. :)

He even bought my old car from me!!! I couldn't pass up that opportunity to get rid of the old and in with the new.
It drives like a dream and has umph when I press the gas. The breaks work great too.

The kids love the new wheels cuz it's automatic windows they don't have to roll in down like "the olden days" That's what they said about my old car. It's old fashioned. I thought it was so funny

Puppies

Mom and Ron got 2 new puppies. They are so stinkin cute. I'm not much of a small dog person but who doesn't love puppies?!? I forget their names so you'll have to ask mom.
They run so cute too. I was trying to catch them in the action.

Summer Fun

I am so happy summer is here. I've been hanging out outside alot and am getting an awesome socal tan.)

It's been a good start for summer. The kids I watch have a day camp on Mon, Wed, and Fri. I have them all day on Tues and Thur. We've been having fun playing in the pool mostly and other stuff.
