Not for me but the kids. After homework the girls sometimes get bored with the same thing we do everyday. So I asked Dahra if she wanted to do a spa treatment? I was glad when she said yes. Paige said no because she was busy trying to get her lose tooth out. Her tooth did come out and she was so excited. I'll take a pic soon.
But for Dahra's spa treatment I soaked her cute little feet in the sink and some bath salts. Then I massaged them with lotion and painted her toes. She doesn't like her nails painted. She then wanted to do a facial. So I just put a warm wet cloth on her face and then cut up some cucumbers and put them on her eyes. It was fun to make her feel special and pretty.

What to do?
Ok so I just read a great article that eased my mind and heart about an issue that is close to my heart. Apparently HBO plans to show the sacred cerimony that is performed in the temple. What a crazy thing first of all. I know non-members and even some members may be curious as to what goes on inside and why we don't talk abou it. The reason is because it's God's house and it is holy and I believe sacred things shouldn't be talked about like the weather.
Here's the link to the article

Also I am reminded by a quote by Joseph Smith
The standard of truth has been errected no unhallowed hand will stop the work from progressing. Persecusions my rage, mobs may combline armies may assemble calumny may defame. But the truth will go forth boldly, nobly and independent. Until it has penetrated every contentent, visited every cline, swept every country and sounded in every ear till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done!!!
I'm sorry if this sounds preachy and like I'm on a soap box but I do have a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ. I love my savior and am so thankful for his mercy and love. May we all live our lives to mirror him.
I love you all

Ho Hum
Just another Saturday here in sunny San Diego. I just read Megan's blog and she's right. We don't communicate much and facebook is just another way for us to have these instant conversations. I am greatful for the internet cuz my phone bill would be pretty high if I was to call all ya'll.
Anyway I am doing well. I have decided to move out and move into another apt. I would be saving money and that is a good thing for me at this time.
I am very sad to leave Danielle. She's my best friend and we've lived together for over 3 years now. It is really great to live with someone you get along with so well.
Right now I am house/dog sitting again just for a day and it is always weird to be in a big house all by myself.
So that's what's going on with me kind of boring, kind of just ho hum but that's it.
Love you all

Week Off
This week the girls had no school. For "President's Day" I guess they get the whole week to honor our presidents. So we got creative and a budget to do all kinds of fun things.
One highlight was a show. They call it practice and I get to watch and then they choriograph a dance to go along with the song. The song is usually off the SpongeBob Square Pants CD. But It was so cute to see them perform

A big thing we did was going ice skating at the UTC mall. It was kind of expensive but a lot of fun and very cold. They didn't want to hold my hand and they stayed close to the wall. But we went around about 3 times before they got bored and wanted to leave. Sigh then it was on to the next activity.

Of course we did a lot of baking. Dahra has an easy bake oven and we made waffles, doughnuts, and muffin tops this week. Dahra loves to cook and Paige sometimes does too but mostly she likes to eat what we make.

We also went to a park for the afternoon and Paige brought sidewalk chalk and made a hop scotch that went up to 100. It was so cute and some of the squares were so small they'd only fit her foot but she did it. She was so proud of herself and I was with out my camera.

Valentine's Day
For the big V-Day I got together with some of my good friends. We ate yummy strawberry shortcake dessert and watched The Secret Life of Bees. Awesome movie. I was even festive with my pink shirt and pink rainbows (yes we do wear flip flops in Feb :) I am very blessed to not only have so many people in my life that I love but also people that love me.

Doors
Yesterday I went with my good friend Jonnelle to LA. Her friend Mike tagged along. It's been rainin alot for the past few days (alot for San Diego that is) and yesterday this rainbow kept coming out. At one point it was a full rainbow not just one side. It was awesome I haven't seen a full one in a long time.

Utah Trip
I can't tell you how it filled my heart to go home for a while. It was a short trip (as always) but amazing. I had a great time with all of you I think the only one I didn't get to see was Katie and Rick. Hanging with Erin was so fun and Ethan is a joy.
Simeon was such a cuddle bug. He would give me kisses and hugs all the time. It was so great, that's what being an aunt is all about. He also loved the treats I had. And I enjoyed giving him lots and lots of sugar. Sorry Becky :)

Briggs was a lot of fun too. It took a bit for him to warm up to me but Sunday morning he helped me make breakfast. He is wonderful!!

Gavin was also so sweet he is such a good baby. I love hanging with the kids they make you laugh and I can't get enough.
Seeing Jeff was also a highlight. 2 years is a long time and Jeff has grown (spiritually) so much. It was nice to catch up for a breif moment. Thanks to Joyce for having us over for dessert. I love pie :)

I got to hang with Megan and Joe for a while too. Megan is so fun and we laugh all the time. It's so great to spend quality time with you all. I am so blessed to have an amazing family. All of you are so wonderful and so talented. I love you and I cry a little every time I have to fly back.
I will come home again soon and will definetly see my awesome sisters at our next retreat.
