Miss my husband

I miss my husband terribly. I am excited because our Anniversary is coming up next weekend and I get to go see him. Since he missed my birthday and I'm going to miss his birthday we are doing a lot of celebrating and combining it all into one. I leave Thursday and get back on Monday. I am just going to hug him and not let go.
I have a new respect for all women who have husbands that have to leave for whatever reason be it travel for work or military. I don't know how they do it and me being pregnant makes it hard because my emotions are on overdrive.
Today someone asked me how I was and I said "good" and he said that can't be true. What am I supposed to do? Cry all day and feel sorry for myself? I have to stay positive and have faith that this sacrifice will be worth it for our family.
What's worse is at least I'm still in California where I have friends and family around. He has my family but no real friends yet and I think he's lonely and that breaks my heart.
We also realized that I can't travel after this trip because I will be to far along and it wouldn't be wise to go out of town in November like I wanted to.
My spirits are pretty low today.

Wow

It was night 4 of me being here at my mom's alone since her and Ron are on vacation. So around 10 after the X Factor I opened my door to turn the lights off in the hall and I heard a noise coming from the bathroom. I thought it was the cat because that's where her food and water is. Nope it was a huge racoon that somehow jumped onto the counter and was eating her food. The coon just waddled away down the hall and went outh the doggie door as if to say "bye thanks for the snack"
I freaked out because I had never seen a racoon upclose let alone in the house. Why does this stuff always happen to me when my mom's away???? Really ????

I am very glad the weekend is over. It's been very hard being away from my best friend and husband. I knew that Sunday was going to be the hardest because that has always been our day to spend together. I cried most of the day and couldn't seem to pull myself together.
I can't express how much I appreciate my amazing family for helping him unload the truck and unpack. I really feel like my family is so wonderful the way we all gather together to help eachother out. I know that Anthony appreciated the help also.
I miss my husband!! I miss my dog!! I know this is how it has to be for a little bit and the time will go by fast, at least that's what I'm hoping.

Big Move

For the past month we've had no internet/cable or phone and it's nice be connected again.
A big day for me and my family. About two months ago Anthony and I were given a great opportunity. To move into my brother's old house in Orem UT 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath, front yard and back yard and since we've lived in an apt so long this is fun for us. We were super excited and got right to work on getting a job there. We made a trip in August and a few weeks after some interviews Tony was hired at Larry H. Miller as a service writer.
As of today Tony is on his way to Utah with all our stuff. My dad and brother-in-law Brady even came down to help us with the move. I am so thankful for their willingness and sacrifice.
The only downside is I have to stay. Since I'm insured with Kaiser and they aren't nation wide I am staying in California until baby Angelo is born. This is very difficult but we really feel like this is the right decision for us and for our family.
I just hope Utah is kind to my husband. He's never seen or been in snow in his life and I know it'll be a fun surprise for him.

It's a BOY!!!

We had our big ultrasound this morning. I had to start drinking water at about 6:45 because you have to have a full bladder and have it full for an hour before your appointment. The girl doing the sonogram was super nice. She took a lot of pictures of baby Love and the baby was moving around so much most of the pictures are fuzzy. We got to see the gender and since I was lying down and the screen looked upside down I didn't see his penis very well then I was like "Ohhh there it is." We are so excited to be having a baby and I am so happy that we know now that it's a boy.
Angelo Anthony Love will be his name. That not only honors my husband but his late gradfather Angelo and his late uncle Anthony. We will call him AJ and Angelo, very Italian. I love it!!
I didn't really cry but whenever I see the baby or hear the heart beat it seems I tear up and can't stop smiling!! Tony teared up when he saw the baby and when he made calls to his family!!
It's been wonderful feeling the love of our families and friends and the wonderful words of support. We love you and we are so thankful for our growing family :)

Flutter

I was lying down watching tv last night and thought I felt a little flutter. I got excited and started talking to the baby :) Just now I'm sitting reading e-mails and going on facebook and I can really feel him/her fluttering around in my belly, it is so great to be able actually be able to feel it. I was just at the Dr and we did a very quick sonogram and got to see the baby moving around. The Dr said "You have a very active baby." And it was kind of a bummer because I couldn't feel him/her. The baby was moving a lot and had it's arm up and it looked like it was waving at us saying "Hi mommy and daddy" It was so darn cute I couldn't stand it. It's fun now that I can feel him/her I talk more to my belly. Soon I get to call it a him or a her and by it's name. Angelo if it's a boy, Teresa if it's a girl :)

Things no one told me

I have to say that once you get pregnant there are all kinds of people giving you advice. I have listened to most even if it's just a smile and nod. No one told me that I would start sneezing a lot with no cold just sneezing because apparently something is going on in my nose...really??? Being pregnant effects your nose? My newest discovery is my skin has been itching, mostly on my belly and a friend noticed me itching and told me not to. My skin is stretching and if I itch I will get bad stretch marks. Oh super! So as often as I can I oil my tummy up or put on body butter it doesn't seem to be helping because even right now it itches like crazy and so instead of scratching I rub my belly, that's why pregnant women are always rubbing their bellies.
I am 18 weeks now and get to find out what the sex of the baby is a week from Tuesday! Can't wait I hope that baby love is in a position so we can see clearly ;)

Another Fiasco

So yesterday I receive a call from Anthony that he has a surprise for me. Now It's been my experience that his surprises hasn't always been what I expect. I felt bad that when he said he had a surprise the tone in my voice sounded very cautious of what it might be. He finally told me that he bought a crib. I was shocked, our budget is tight and I wanted to shop around and do research on safety features before we made the purchase. When I got home our little one bedroom apt was a disaster because my husband decided to put together the crib, in our living room and the baby isn't coming until DECEMBER. It was a crazy night but I do have to give it to him. The crib is beautiful and a little big but wonderful.

Tears

So I always thought I was an emotional person, more emotional than most. I am a big crier, I always cried at a good chick flick, a sweet song, a sad story and so on. Now that I am pregnant my emotions have gone into over drive. I now cry over ANY movie (even comedies), a commercial, the news, EVERYTHING!! Yesterday was a rough one and I cried all day. I couldn't seem to pull it together I was proud of myself though because I didn't break down until after I had cleaned the house and washed the dog. Snaps for me. I appreciate my sister who called out of the blue and listened to me as well as my dear friend who showed up at my apt with flowers and a card :) I realize that this is normal I just didn't' realize that I would still have tears left in my body to cry while watching another movie today. I need to rehydrate!!!
If anyone has tips for helping a girl out on controlling her emotions a little bit more it would be helpful and my husband will also than you!!

Attempt at the fair

Yesterday was 3$ fair day and Anthony and I wanted to go. He had the day off and I had to work in the afternoon. The distance between my work and the fairgrounds is one exit. Anthony wanted to go early so I dropped him off and then went to work. I got off work and it took me over an hour to get to the next exit. We decided to not go to the fair and I met him at a gas station.
He did get me fried pickles!!! They are so yummy and I've been craving them for a long time so that made me happy and we just went home and watched a movie. It ended up being a good night.

Great News

I'm excited to announce that I am pregnant. I am now over 11 weeks. I have most of the symptoms and am hoping they go away very soon. I am sick unless I eat so I'm eating all the time. I'm starting to show a little. This past weekend I spent it with all the awesome females in my family and my sister Erin gave me 3 garbage bags full of clothes. I am so grateful because now I have more options and I don't have to try to squeeze into my other stuff.
I have had a few unexplained emotional breakdowns and my husband calls me pregnant head all the time.
Any advice would be appreciated off for now I need a banana.

News

So It's been a week and I'm feeling better so I thought I'd share the latest news. Last Wednesday I started spotting and called all my friends and even my good friend that's a nurse to ask if it's normal. I thought I was ok but I kept bleeding. I was an emotional mess and cried almost all night. My sweet amazing husband was so comforting and kept reminding me that the Lord will take care of us, and we need to trust His will.
I've recieved such amazing support from friends and family and I thank all of you for that.
Church was a little more difficult than I thought because all the cute pregnant girls and new borns but I am happy for other people and I know it'll happen for me when the time is right.

First time

So today I was hungry but my stomach hurt all day. I would eat and wouldn't feel better. I made a great dinner tonight pasta, chicken and broccoli, it all tasted so good. About 5 minutes later I was throwing it all up. Not a good experience. I have about 2 months of this to look forward to. Is there anything that helps???
HELP!!!

Woke up starving

Anthony has been waking up super early for work the past few months. He's the kind of person that sets his alarm but pushes the snooze about 5 times. Drives me crazy.
So after eating 5 taco's last night for dinner I woke up when the alarm went off for the first time and was starving I wanted to eat the entire fridge! Is this normal I mean I do love food but at 6:00 in the morning that's just ridiculous.

Big News

I am pregnant. I found out yesterday at about 1pm. I first called Anthony and he was working and busy and asked if he could call me back. When he did I told him and I think he already knew what I was going to say. I told him I'm pregnant and he kept saying "Are you sure?" "Really" "Are you sure?" All I could say was "Yep"
I called my mom and my older sister Erin and Anthony called his dad Vincent.
When he got home I gave him a hug and told him he's going to be a daddy. He got emotional because he wants to name the baby after his grandfather Angelo if it's a boy, or his grandmother Theresa if it's a girl. I am ok with that if I get to do the middle name.
Last night I put my hand on my stomach and whispered to the baby that I am very happy.
I feel so excited, nervous, happy, and just humbled that a life is growing inside of me.
These next few months will be such an amazing journey and I will document it.

Thankful

Thank you doesn't come close to what I want to say to all who made our wedding day absolutely perfect.
First of all almost all of my enormous family was in attendance. We did miss my sister Sarah, her two boys Damon and Carson and My brother-in-law Matt and nephew Brad. Everyone else was there.
All the men helped the day before to set up the Christmas lights on the trees, they also taped down the extension cords and it was so great!! Also the day of they set up over 100 chairs out on the lawn and we didn't even get to use them because of the weather. After the ceremony they wiped down the chairs when it was dry.
All the women helped too, with food and drinks and decorating the tables. My heart is so full right now. I feel so blessed.
Mom was amazing too! For months we planned this event and she definately had a vision and when it came true it was beautiful. We did have our moments when we would disagree but it didn't last long. I honestly cherish those times of planning because mom and I got very close.
Ron was the hero of the night because he had his stereo. When the dj's speaker blew up (not really) he was there to save the music.
Dad and Joyce was very helpful as well, they provided the wonderful dinner and dad kept a smile on my face so I wouldn't be shaking as he walked me down the isle. I did cry a little but only because I felt the love that was in the room and was very overwhelmed.
I love you all and thank you for your support, friendship, smiles, and love.
Mrs. Love :)

It's Happened

OK so since I've been a single girl for a long time and I've seen a lot of friends and family get married. The one thing you notice is the ring. Especially in church. Usually the girl sits on the right side of the guy and in the middle of the service meeting she scratches his back to "show off" her bling.
Well it's happened to me.
I have become that girl.
Last night Tony surprised me with my bling. I wasn't expecting it at all. He comes in the house and in a stern voice says "We need to talk" I'm thinking what did I do??? Then he says we need to sit and talk, I go to take a seat at the dining room table (at mom's) and he says "No I want you to sit there" and points to another chair. I'm getting nervous and wondering what is going on. He then grabs my left hand and says "I'm going to need this back" and starts pulling off my ring. The silver wedding band he proposed with. I was like "WHY???" He then pulls out a box with the diamond ring (I should say diamonds :) and says "This one is better."
It is so pretty and I can't stop looking at it and smiling. So now I have the bling and I just feel like showing it off. I feel like such an idiot. I have become the girl that I always laughed at. I am such a dork.
Anyway so I get the band when we get married in October.
It was a pretty good night to say the least.

The Proposal

Last night Tony proposed to me!!!
I was not expecting it at all. We had gone to pick out rings for me and decided on a ring with a Sapphire and two diamonds on each side. So we are getting it made and it's taking a while. I am one that needs to practice patience and can't seem to wait.
We were talking last night and Tony said that it's going to be a while longer for the ring because of this...and that...and I suggested we get a decoy ring just so I can have something on my finger. He said no :(
We were on our way to our Book of Mormon study group when we had this conversation. When we got in we settled in had a song and prayer and then Tony pipes in and says "I have an announcement" and he stands up. I'm thinking what is he doing???? Then I see a ring box in his hand and I almost had a heart attack. He goes down on one knee and asks if I would marry him and I said YES!! I was so excited that I just took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger. I didn't even wait for him to put it on me. OOPS. I guess Tony didn't realize how long I've been waiting for this day. I was so embarrassed by it all and everyone applauded and took pictures with their camera phones :)
It may have not been the most romantic moment but it was memorable. I will never forget it. I love Tony so much. He is amazing and he even has made the commitment to be baptized.
A good week all together.

Dresses

So as any bride will testify finding the dress is a fun and interesting task. Not only do you have to find a dress to wear on a very important day but you have to choose a dress for bridesmaids and flower girls.
I am fortunate that I already have my dress. I'm wearing my mom's wedding dress, from when she married my step-dad Ron. It's beautiful, flowy and makes me feel very pretty. Plus she's also done the alterations herself. She is simply amazing.
Finding the bridesmaids dresses has also been a dream I mean nightmare but I did find it.
I found it
http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=3001919&currentIdx=0&subCategory=-49998493%257c3001480%257c300191&catentryId=2000993&sort
I couldn't copy the dress for some reason but check it out. The color is Truffle and it's gonna look so beautiful on my girls.

This is my flower girls dress. Maddie and Lauren are going to be my flower girls. I am so excited.
My theme is fall since our date is October. And my colors are brown and orange.
:) That's it for now

Plans

So my computer is still down and I don't have pictures yet but I thought it might be fun to blog about my wedding plans.
Tony and I are getting married on October 16th of this year. I don't have the ring yet and so the proposal wasn't formal. We were just talking and he said that he found the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. I was in shock!! At that point we hadn't been dating long but I also knew that I loved him very much. He then asked if I would marry him and I without thinking said "Yes".
After that we made the nessicary arrangements for our paretns to meet and we also made a special trip to Utah so he could meet my father and ask his permission. It was so great to see the family and spend time with most of them.
I am so greatful for Tony and what a wonderful man that he is. He loves me dispite my crazy moments and is completely patient with me. I love him for his sence of humor and ability to make me laugh.
My mom and I have been taking the task to plan the wedding ourselves and since mom is a very organized person we are doing good!!
Keep checking back and I will let you know how things are going
much love
Jenny
